  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil without stirring. Cook until it reaches a golden amber color.
  3. Remove from heat and quickly stir in the peanuts, salt, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add baking soda and mix well. The mixture will bubble up.
