Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and heavy cream over medium heat.
  2. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil, then add maple syrup.
  3. Continue to boil for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and chopped nuts.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan and let it cool completely.
  6. Once cooled, cut into squares and serve.
