- 2 cups sushi rice
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pound imitation crab meat, shredded
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha (optional)
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 sheet nori, cut into strips
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the rinsed rice and water, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Stir into the cooked rice and let it cool.
- In a separate bowl, combine shredded crab meat, mayonnaise, sriracha, and green onions.
- Spread the sushi rice evenly in a baking dish.
- Top the rice with the crab mixture, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with nori strips and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add other toppings like avocado or cucumber.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Adjust the spiciness by adding more or less sriracha.
