A simple and delicious chili recipe that you can prepare in a crockpot with minimal effort.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can (15 oz) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. In the crockpot, combine the cooked ground beef, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stir the ingredients until well mixed.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Feel free to add more vegetables like bell peppers or corn for extra flavor.
  • This chili can be frozen for later use.
